Planning Storyboard for my Cantu commercial

 First Scene -

During this scene I will be filming the main character in the bathroom. The reason behind this is to create the idea that she just came out of the shower and will be getting ready and she needs something to help add definition to her curls. The main focus of the camera will be on her as she looks at herself in the mirror. Since this is about a hair product, looking into the mirror implies that she is a person that prefers looking her best. The product Cantu hair cream will be displayed beside her.

Second Scene - 

This scene will be taken from the mirrors POV. This is to reinforce the aspect of her worrying about her hair which is why her facial expression will be a neutral one, not smiling or frowning. She will begin brushing and drying her hair to later apply the cream and other products. 

Third Scene - 

In this scene I wanted to move the focus from the character to the Cantu product. This would be a close-up shot of the cream. In Cantu commercials they tend to show the product multiple times so this will be the scene with most focus on the product. 

Fourth Scene - 

Next continuing from the third scene, she would pick up the Cantu cream. After she puts some on her hand, there will be a voice over explaining the benefits of the cream. After that she will apply the cream to her curls softly and gently. The scene will end with her closing the door as a transition. 

Fifth Scene - 

This scene she will open the door all ready, also a continuation of scene four. She will have her hair ready and she will have changed into casual clothes and wearing some makeup so show that she's ready for her day. Her emotion will also have changed into happiness while she shows off her hair. 

Sixth scene - 

In the final scene she will be outside with her cat being happy and interactive. She will show off her curls under the sun to show how shiny her hair is and how the cream helped nourish her hair. This will be a mid-shot as well. The slogan of the Cantu company will come up as the end which is "My Curl, My Cantu."

Final task: Filming and editing process

As of recently, my partner and I have to decided to start our filming process on March 8, 2021. Unfortunately we could not begin filming before due to serveral reasons. Our actress playing Irene, is out of town and will be arriving March 6, 2021, which is the major reason of why we decided to begin on March 8. The actor playing Johnny also could not film earlier because he had plans involving school homework, studying for several tests and work. My partner and I looked out for our actors and decided to begin filming on a day everybody would be available.  We finished all of our planning and research and now we will prepare for filming. As of now, we have not changed or added new locations for our opening sequence. We have set all of our plans for our settings and when we will go to our assigned locations. Genre Research: The Giver

What elements of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have? Another movie we will use to base our final task on is The Giver.  The Giver is a science fiction movie which is based on a novel. The setting of  The Giver was in an isolated piece of land broken off and disconnected from the rest of the world. This set up the plot of the story of the film.  In the movie they use a lot of different filming techniques to express the different emotions throughout the film.  Since the movie is about "The receiver of memories" they use zooms, close-ups, establishing shots, track, mid-shots, low and high angles and many more to show the emotions of the characters in the story.
