Filming and acting for the Music Video

Filming at Margarita's house

After arriving to Margarita's house on Monday the 23rd, we began filming. To begin with the first scene, margarita changed into the costume which was sweatpants with a hoodie, while I set up the camera to film. I recorded the first scene only a few times until we were satisfied with the clip, and got ready to record the second scene. After we were done with the second scene, I had to do the next scene so I proceeded to change into my costume. The first plan was that margarita would make a "shut up" gesture in front of me and I would shove her hand away, however that was not possible because she needed to record that scene so I had to use my own hands for this scene. We had to do this scene several times since it was really hard for me to be serious but once we finally had that scene we moved on to the next one. For this next scene while margarita changed into other clothes, I set up a mirror which we would be using for this part of the music video. Once Margarita was ready to record I got in position and gave her instructions on what to do, how to act, as well as were to look to get the right scene. Following the mirror scene I had to act out the running scene. We discussed together the camera movement since Margarita would record it and she instructed me how to do it. After running for this scene several times we finally had the wanted result and moved to the next scene. 

For the upcoming scene, I had to act so I changed clothes while margarita got in position. After changing Margarita wrote on my hand the word "beautiful" as planned before. Satisfied with the result we moved to the next scene so I wrote the words "love myself" on Margarita's hand and once she was ready we recorded the scene. Up next was another running scene, however this time I ran the opposite way. Since we did not have enough space to run, we recorded this scene a couple of times until we finally got it. Finally, for the last two scenes Margarita and I both had to act. We changed and got in positions for this scene where we had to act casually as if we were looking at our magazines together and then we would throw them in the air. There was a problem and I was not able to get a magazine for myself so margarita shared the magazine with me. We recorded this scene only a couple of times which someone else filmed for us. After this I recorded a couple of seconds of the sky after the magazine fell on the floor and we finalized filming and picked up our belongings.

Final task: Filming and editing process

As of recently, my partner and I have to decided to start our filming process on March 8, 2021. Unfortunately we could not begin filming before due to serveral reasons. Our actress playing Irene, is out of town and will be arriving March 6, 2021, which is the major reason of why we decided to begin on March 8. The actor playing Johnny also could not film earlier because he had plans involving school homework, studying for several tests and work. My partner and I looked out for our actors and decided to begin filming on a day everybody would be available.  We finished all of our planning and research and now we will prepare for filming. As of now, we have not changed or added new locations for our opening sequence. We have set all of our plans for our settings and when we will go to our assigned locations. Genre Research: The Giver

What elements of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have? Another movie we will use to base our final task on is The Giver.  The Giver is a science fiction movie which is based on a novel. The setting of  The Giver was in an isolated piece of land broken off and disconnected from the rest of the world. This set up the plot of the story of the film.  In the movie they use a lot of different filming techniques to express the different emotions throughout the film.  Since the movie is about "The receiver of memories" they use zooms, close-ups, establishing shots, track, mid-shots, low and high angles and many more to show the emotions of the characters in the story.
