Music Video

This was the first music video that both Margarita and I have ever done together. Margarita and I believe that we conveyed our message conscientiously. Our purpose was to send the message to women, and people in general, to love themselves and be who they want. We hope the audience gets our message through what we produced. The way we transmitted our message into the music video was through filming and editing.

Since the scenes we had to film were planned beforehand, it was not as difficult to execute filming. It was easy to work together and meet up for filming since we live close to each other. For filming, both of us learned how to be prepared and punctual. Due to the pandemic we are currently living through, we had to limit our setting options; we decided the safest option was to film at Margarita's house. Our filming skills enhanced tremendously with this project by practicing our camera shots, angles, and movements.

For this crucial project, Margarita and I used Cute CUT Pro to edit for the first time. We were both beginners in using this editing application, so we had some complications at first. We were able to gain experience on editing and importing an audio on Cute CUT Pro. As we spent more time on editing our music video, we started to get comfortable with using Cute CUT Pro and having good results with the effects and transitions we added. Not only did our filming skills improve, but so did our editing skills as we learned a variety of aspects of editing on Cute CUT Pro.

Margarita and I have worked together before in previous projects, so it was easier to communicate. Since we also planned filming and editing ahead in our storyboard, it cleared the path and made it less rough to get work done. We learned to give each other feedback and advice on what we could improve on. We are both satisfied with the project as a whole. This project was great practice to improve our planning, filming and editing skills.
