Starting the Final Task

Hello, my name is Sandy Andrade. I am currently in eleventh grade at Fort Lauderdale high school and I am seventeen years old. I am a very caring person and I like helping those who find themselves in harsh moments. My friends often come to me for advice and they tell me I always have the right words for them. I love being there for my friends no matter what; I am like a shoulder they can cry on. I am dedicated and hardworking and I try to make myself proud. I admire my parents for all their hard work and loving actions; they are the reason why I keep working harder and harder. My parents migrated from Guatemala to New York, United States, in 1985. My parents have always worked hard to be better and outdo the poor standards people had of them. My purpose is to also do better but to also make my own self proud of who I am. 

For this final task, I will be working with Margarita Ortuno Cruz, a fellow friend. We decided to work together since we are both very hardworking and we know we can together make a good product for this project. In the past projects we have done together, our chemistry has helped us excel in our work. Margarita is extremely hardworking and a really good person and student. Although many people think working with friends can be a very bad idea since there can be a lot of distractions, that is not a problem for us. Margarita and I know how to work together. We love sharing ideas and working together to include most of our ideas in our products. Besides being very good friends, we also know each other which makes it easier to know what we are good at. I love working with Margarita because I also learn a lot from her, she is really good at editing and she helps me with that since I am not very good. I also try to help her with my ideas; our teamwork is really solid.

Final task: Filming and editing process

As of recently, my partner and I have to decided to start our filming process on March 8, 2021. Unfortunately we could not begin filming before due to serveral reasons. Our actress playing Irene, is out of town and will be arriving March 6, 2021, which is the major reason of why we decided to begin on March 8. The actor playing Johnny also could not film earlier because he had plans involving school homework, studying for several tests and work. My partner and I looked out for our actors and decided to begin filming on a day everybody would be available.  We finished all of our planning and research and now we will prepare for filming. As of now, we have not changed or added new locations for our opening sequence. We have set all of our plans for our settings and when we will go to our assigned locations. Genre Research: The Giver

What elements of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have? Another movie we will use to base our final task on is The Giver.  The Giver is a science fiction movie which is based on a novel. The setting of  The Giver was in an isolated piece of land broken off and disconnected from the rest of the world. This set up the plot of the story of the film.  In the movie they use a lot of different filming techniques to express the different emotions throughout the film.  Since the movie is about "The receiver of memories" they use zooms, close-ups, establishing shots, track, mid-shots, low and high angles and many more to show the emotions of the characters in the story.
