At the beginning of the opening sequence, there is an image of Tony Stark that converts into a graphic design Iron Man. The opening sequence also provided many images of the mechanical parts of the Iron Man suit. There is also an image of a police badge.

The connotation behind the image of Tony Stark converting into a graphic design Iron Man symbolizes that Tony Stark is Iron Man. The connotation behind the images of the mechanical parts of the Iron Man suit is to guide us through the advanced technology that the suit consists of. The connotation behind the police badge is to represent S.H.I.E.L.D., which is part of the Marvel Universe.

How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?

The film establishes itself as a sci-fi film by showing the Iron Man suit. The Iron Man suit is a device that is highly technologically advanced. Since the Iron Man suit is technologically advanced, it gives the audience the feeling of science fiction due to the repulsors and weapons the suit contains.

What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience?

The Iron Man film is based on the Iron Man comic book. The Iron Man comic book was made, edited, and published by Marvel Comics, which has published many well-known, popular comic books. Before the Iron Man movie was released, there was already an existing fanbase. The opening sequence appealed to its target audience by including Iron Man.

How has technology been used effectively? 

There was editing, special effects when the image of Tony Stark converted into a graphic design Iron Man. There are many zoom-in and zoom-out transitions. There are also 3D rotation transitions in the opening sequence. There several low angles of the graphic design of the Iron Man suit.

Final task: Filming and editing process

As of recently, my partner and I have to decided to start our filming process on March 8, 2021. Unfortunately we could not begin filming before due to serveral reasons. Our actress playing Irene, is out of town and will be arriving March 6, 2021, which is the major reason of why we decided to begin on March 8. The actor playing Johnny also could not film earlier because he had plans involving school homework, studying for several tests and work. My partner and I looked out for our actors and decided to begin filming on a day everybody would be available.  We finished all of our planning and research and now we will prepare for filming. Genre Research: The Giver

What elements of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have? Another movie we will use to base our final task on is The Giver.  The Giver is a science fiction movie which is based on a novel. The setting of  The Giver was in an isolated piece of land broken off and disconnected from the rest of the world. This set up the plot of the story of the film.  In the movie they use a lot of different filming techniques to express the different emotions throughout the film.  Since the movie is about "The receiver of memories" they use zooms, close-ups, establishing shots, track, mid-shots, low and high angles and many more to show the emotions of the characters in the story.
